Lemmy

Schedule posts to Lemmy communities on any instance

Share project updates, links, and discussions with the communities that moved off Reddit. FoPost connects to any Lemmy instance, publishes in full Markdown, and queues the same post for every other network.

Works alongside

Any instance

Connect lemmy.world, a niche instance, or your own.

Multiple communities

Pick the community per post from a searchable list.

Markdown native

Headings, code blocks, and links render as written.

Communities

Post where the conversation already is

Lemmy is federated, so your audience is spread across instances and communities with their own rules. FoPost lists the communities your account can post to, remembers your favourites, and sends each scheduled post to the right one.

Cross-instance

Post to communities hosted on other instances through federation.

Link or text posts

Share a URL with a title or a full Markdown body.

Markdown

Write once in Markdown, publish as written

Developer and open-source communities expect real formatting. The composer keeps your headings, lists, code blocks, and links intact on Lemmy, and strips or adapts them for networks that cannot render them.

Write in Markdown
A caption written once, with the post previewed as each network renders it

Code blocks

Fenced code with language hints renders correctly.

Adapt per network

The same body flattened for X, kept rich for Lemmy.

AI writing

Titles that get the click, bodies that get the upvote

A Lemmy post lives or dies on its title. FoPost drafts several titles from your link or body, rewrites a Reddit post for the Lemmy tone, and keeps community rules you paste in as writing guidance.

Scheduling

Release notes on release day, without the reminder

Queue the changelog, the launch post, and the follow-up discussion, and FoPost publishes each one when you set it. Lemmy sits on the same visual calendar as Mastodon, Bluesky, and your blog, so a launch is one plan, not five.

Lemmy questions, answered

How do I connect my Lemmy account?

Open Connect Lemmy, enter your instance URL, username, and password. FoPost logs in to that instance and stores the session token encrypted; your password is used for the login only.

Can I connect accounts on different instances?

Yes, through workspaces. Each workspace connects one Lemmy account on one instance, so a second instance gets its own workspace.

Can I post images?

Yes. Images are uploaded to your instance and attached as the post image, or embedded in the Markdown body.

Are there length limits?

Titles are capped at 200 characters and the composer shows the count. Bodies follow your instance settings, and the composer warns if a post exceeds them.

Can I schedule the same post to several communities?

Yes. Select more than one community and each gets its own post at the scheduled time. Check each community’s rules on cross-posting first.

Is there an API for posting to Lemmy through FoPost?

Yes. The REST API and SDKs expose the same publish and schedule endpoints the dashboard uses.
