Inbox Agent

Teach FoPost your answers once, and every drafted reply uses them.

A drafted reply is only useful if it is true. Without anything to go on, AI writes a reply that sounds right and states a refund window nobody agreed to.

The knowledge base is what it reads first. You save your own answers, your own pages and your own files; a drafted reply quotes them instead of inventing something.

What you can save

FAQQuestions and answers you already give people, one pair per paragraph.
NoteAnything else worth writing down once.
URLA page on your own site. Re-read whenever you sync it.
FileA plain-text or CSV file from your media library.

Add them under Settings → Knowledge. Each source is indexed in the background and shows Ready when it can be used.

How a reply uses it

When you ask for a suggested reply in the inbox, FoPost looks up the passages closest to what the person actually asked and puts them in front of the model with an instruction not to go beyond them. A reply about your shipping times comes from your shipping page.

If nothing you saved answers the question, nothing is added. The reply is drafted without it rather than padded with a passage that nearly fits — a nearly-right answer is worse than a general one.

Nothing sends on its own. A drafted reply still waits for you, exactly as it did before.

In an automation

The AI step in a workflow has a knowledge switch. Turned on, that step reads the knowledge base the same way a suggested reply does. It is off by default, so a workflow you already built keeps answering exactly as it did.

Scoped to your workspace

A source belongs to one workspace and is never read from another. An agency answering for three clients cannot have one client's policy end up in another client's reply.

A source can also be narrowed to a single brand, for an account that runs more than one.

Keeping it current

A URL source is a snapshot, not a live read. Edit the page and the old text keeps answering until you press Sync Now. Editing a saved FAQ or note re-indexes it automatically.

Delete a source and its passages go with it.

Billing

Indexing a source and looking one up are both billed as AI usage from your prepaid balance. A sync is charged once per run, however long the source is, and nothing is charged if your balance is empty or the run fails.
