Threads

Threads is connected on its own: it is a separate authorisation from Facebook and Instagram, on Threads' own screen.

Connecting

Accounts → Connect → Threads, approve on Threads' authorisation screen. The grant covers publishing and reading insights. Tokens are long-lived and FoPost refreshes them in the background.

What you can publish

A post is plain text, a single image or video, or a carousel of up to 20 items. Links go into the text; hashtags are appended after the link. Thread chains are supported: blocks written as a thread in the composer publish as replies to each other.

A carousel is all-or-nothing: if one item fails on Threads' side, the whole post fails rather than going out incomplete.

Analytics

Per post: views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, and shares. Per account: follower count and views. Posts published natively in the Threads app are included in analytics, not only ones sent through FoPost.

Follower demographics (country, city, age, and gender) are reported once your account clears Threads' own minimum audience size. Below it, Threads declines to say, and the breakdown is empty rather than wrong.

Deleting

Deleting the post in FoPost deletes it on Threads.
