Twitch
Chat messages and announcements on your own channel.
Twitch has no feed to post to: a Twitch "post" is a message in your own channel's chat, or a highlighted announcement.
Connecting
Accounts → Connect → Twitch, approve on Twitch. Tokens refresh automatically.
What you can publish
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Message length | 500 characters (longer text is cut off) |
| Media | Not supported: chat is text |
The post body plus its link, sent as either:
- a chat message: a normal message from your account
- an announcement: Twitch's highlighted banner message, with a colour option (blue, green, orange, purple, or your channel's primary)
Twitch can accept a message and still drop it (channel chat restrictions like follower-only mode apply), and when that happens the post fails with Twitch's reason.
Analytics and deletion
Chat is ephemeral: no analytics, and no deletion from FoPost.
