X (Twitter)

Posts, threads, articles, media, analytics, and the inbox on X.

X gets the full surface: posts and thread chains, articles, media, per-post and account analytics, competitor tracking, mentions, replies, and DMs in the inbox, and engagement from the inbox.

Connecting

Accounts → Connect → X, approve on X. The grant covers reading and writing posts, media upload, direct messages, likes, bookmarks and follows, and tokens refresh automatically. Disconnecting revokes FoPost's authorisation on X's side too.

An account connected before the engagement permissions were added keeps publishing and reading as before, but shows Reconnect on its Connections card: reposting, bookmarking and following need the newer grant, and X refuses them until the account is reconnected.

Engagement

From an X item in the inbox you can Like, Repost and Bookmark, and take each back; a reply under your own post can be hidden and unhidden. The agent can propose a repost or bookmark too, and nothing reaches X until you approve it. Following an X user, looking a post up by id and searching recent posts are available through the API.

Every engagement call is an X API call billed to your workspace at the same rate as a read. Hiding only works on replies under posts your account wrote; X refuses it anywhere else.

Limits that matter

FoPost accepts up to 25,000 characters, X's ceiling for Premium subscribers; a non-Premium account is held to X's standard 280 and X rejects anything longer at publish time. Every link costs a flat 23 characters, whatever its real length. The composer counts it that way too.
