Pinterest

A Pinterest post is a Pin: one image, a title, a description, and a destination link, published to a board.

Connecting

Accounts → Connect → Pinterest, approve on Pinterest. A Business account is required; that is Pinterest's own requirement for API publishing. The board to pin to is chosen on the connection, and tokens refresh automatically.

What you can publish

A Pin requires an image; a post without one fails with a clear message. Video Pins and multi-image carousel Pins are not supported today.

Boards

The board a Pin lands on is chosen per post in the composer, and defaults to the one picked when the account was connected. The picker lists every board this connection can pin to, and New Board creates one without leaving the composer.

privacy is PUBLIC, PROTECTED, or SECRET. Pass the returned id as the board_id platform setting on a post to pin to it.

Analytics

Per Pin, over the trailing 30 days: impressions, Pin clicks, outbound clicks, and saves. Per account: followers, following, and Pin count. Recent Pins are included in analytics.

Deleting

Deleting the post in FoPost deletes the Pin.
